Mes Beaux-Arts

Here you will find a collection of works that would be found in my dream museum if I were a curator with access to works from museums, galleries and private collections, as well as architecture, from around the world.

While there are exceptions, the majority of the works seen here are from the 16th through 19th century with a particular emphasis on 18th century European art. Various artistic mediums are featured including painting, sculpture, drawing, engraving, pastel, and architecture.

Please feel free to leave a comment or ask a question pertaining to any of these works or European art in general. If you would like for me to include more work by a particular artist or one that I've yet to include, please let me know!

Beautiful painting, but she’s not much of a horsewoman - look at the poor horse’s mouth!
